Brandy contacted me a few months ago about scheduling an engagement session and she could not have picked a better location — Shenandoah National Park! Immediately, I got very excited about the idea of shooting an engagement session over there (Brandy and Jesse actually made this session a weekend overnight trip) as not many people (in DC area) want to travel that far for an engagement session. To be honest, I also got a bit nervous when you think about it — Shenandoah is a very beautiful place but there are mostly overlooks and hiking trails, it’s a bit challenging to pick a good location for portraits. I have been to Shenandoah on many occasions and probably my most favorite area in the park is the area called “Big Meadows” which is a wide open field and there are a lot of beautiful trees with mountain view as a backdrop. I bounced the idea with Brandy and Jesse, they reciprocated and we were not disappointed!
The last two photos are probably one of our favorite engagement photos ever! Serendipitously, we found a really beautiful tree and we made the most out of the beautiful sunset from the little hill overlooking the mountains. I still can’t decide which photo do I like more — Color or Black & White ?
Wow, Nat I love them!!! They look so beautiful. Can’t wait to see the rest. I like the color version of that one photo, but I do like both, but the color is my pick. Thank you again for that lovely session. You did amazing!!
