Pick your “must have” photos to be included in the design. In order to take advantage of the discounted pricing, you are required to pick photos that you would like to use in the design. We kindly ask that you pick at least 2 photos per spread and no more than 5 photos per spread. For example, if you decide to go with 40-page (20 spreads), the number of favorite photos you will end up picking should be between 40 and 100 photos. You can also work your way back by deciding the number of pages you want after picking favorite photos!
Optionally, you can also pick “nice to have” photos to be included in the design to tell us that these photos are nice to have if we can fit them into the design. The “must have” and “nice to have” must be a separate favorite list. Once you asked us to initiate the design process, you will receive instructions in the email via pic-time.com about picking two sets of photographs: one for “must have” and the other for “nice to have” (optional).
Please kindly note that you don’t have to try to pick too many “must have” photos to reach the upper limit,
We reserve the right to exclude certain photos that you pick and pick some other photos that we feel best to convey the story artistically.
Based on the number of “must-have” photos you picked in step 1, you should have a rough idea about the number of pages you would want. Please use one of these forms to submit your album information:
If you would like to order Parent Albums that are not 6″ x 6″ albums, you can make a note in the comment section of the form about this. Alternatively, you can also submit another form for the parent’s album if the parent albums are different than the main album (one is premium/one is standard, they have different cover options, they have different upgrades and etc..). Please note that you will have a chance to confirm everything you selected when you see the invoice. Please kindly note that the number of “must-have” photos you picked must conform to the rule described in step 1.
After receiving the submitted form, we will be sending you an invoice and an agreement. If you are purchasing albums after your wedding day, we will be asking you to sign another agreement but if you are purchasing albums at the time of booking or before the wedding day, your wedding photography contract will include a section about album design.
We will initiate the design process once we receive the payment and the signed agreement.
Please review the design and provide feedback to make small changes on each spread — we allow you to replace/add/remove photos from each spread while maintaining the story that the spread is currently telling. Please note that you can ask us to completely remove a spread from the design and you can also request for additional spreads during this phrase but there will be additional charges per new spread that we need to design during this phase (please refer to the price sheet).
Each photo you see on the design is one spread (= 2 pages). Each spread should be clearly marked by the number in the file name. Notice a pair of the numbers in the file name of each photo, these numbers represent the page numbers/spread. For example, 003-004.jpg represents the second spread (page 3 and page 4).
Please provide all feedback by replying to our email. If you want to use new photos that are not in the current design, please refer to a photo by using the filename (You can find the filename by clicking to enlarge a photo and hover a mouse over the image using your desktop computer or just under the image on the mobile version) as well as a short description of the photo. In addition, you must also specify whether this is the image in the “must have” selection, “nice to have” selection or neither. If the image is not in “must have” and also not in “nice to have”, we would really appreciate if you can add the image to a new selection called “new for revision”. If you are not sure whether the photo is already in “must have” or “nice to have” or you have not selected any “must have”/”nice to have” earlier, you can simply just add the photo into “new for revision”
Please refer to the existing photos in the spread in current design by describing the photos (i.e. “the photo of me putting the dress on”) or using relative position (i.e. “the photo on the second row, the first column on the left page”)
Example of feedbacks:
On spread 001-002:
– Replace the top left photo (photo of me putting the dress on) with photo N5D49541 in “must-have”.
– Remove the bottom right photo on the right side of the spread and rearrange the photos.
On spread 003-004:
– Add a new photo N5D49632 in “new for revision” to the left side of the spread. (you must also add this new photo N5D49632 to the selection called “new for revision”)
It’s very important that you refer to these photos to be added/removed/replaced using the above method as this will help us work significantly faster. If you do not follow these instructions, there will be a significant delay in updating the album.
After making changes according to your’ request, we will deliver the second design by incorporating feedback we gathered. You will have a chance to review the second design and provide feedback. Only feedbacks related to changes requested after reviewing the first design are allowed during this phrase (feedbacks that are not incorporated properly). We will not be taking any new requirement (new spread design) during this phase.
After making changes according to your request during the previous phrase, you will have a chance to review the third/final design and approve the design by emailing us and typing the sentence “I approve the final design”. However, if you are not satisfied with the design, you can choose to not move forward and foregoing the non-refundable partial payment.
After you approve the design, we will proceed to order the album! Sit back and relax! The album will be delivered in about 4 weeks from the time we place the order.
