Receiving Your RAW Footage

RAW footage files are very large and may take several hours or days to transfer. Please choose one of the following delivery options.

Option 1: Transfer to Your Dropbox Account

This is the easiest and most reliable option.

Requirements

You will need:

  • A Dropbox account
  • At least 1–2 TB of available storage

A free Dropbox account does not provide enough storage. One option is to subscribe to a paid Dropbox plan for one month and cancel after the transfer is complete. Pricing is typically around $18 per month, depending on the plan.

Process

  1. Let us know when your Dropbox account has enough available storage.
  2. We will upload the RAW footage to our Dropbox within 3–5 days.
  3. You will have one week from the upload date to transfer the files to your Dropbox account.
  4. Once files are transferred to your Dropbox, ensure that you download them to your local hard drive before cancelling the Dropbox membership (if you plan to).
  5. After one week, the files may be removed from our Dropbox to free up storage space.

Option 2: Download Using JDownloader

JDownloader is a free download manager that can resume interrupted downloads and is generally more reliable than downloading large folders through a web browser.

Before selecting this option, please make sure:

  • You have installed and tested JDownloader.
  • Your computer can remain powered on during the download.
  • Your computer is set not to sleep.
  • You have a drive with enough available storage, typically 1-2TB
  • The download location is set to a large external drive rather than an internal drive with limited space.

Process

  1. Install and test JDownloader.
  2. Let us know when you are ready to receive the download link.
  3. We will upload the RAW footage to Dropbox within 3–5 days.
  4. You will have one week from the upload date to complete the download.
  5. After one week, the files may be removed from our Dropbox to free up storage space.

Option 3: Provide a Hard Drive

You may provide an external hard drive for us to copy the RAW footage by shipping to our office in Mclean, VA.

Requirements

  • The drive must have enough available storage for all footage.
  • Pickup must be arranged in the McLean, Virginia area.
  • We do not currently ship hard drives for this option.

Option 4: Purchase a Shipped Hard Drive — $350

For $350, we will provide a portable hard drive, copy the RAW footage onto it, and ship it directly to your address.

The portable hard drive is yours to keep.
