Maldives is an island nation in the Indian Ocean located about 430 miles southeast of Sri Lanka. It consists of 1,192 coral islands grouped in a double chain of 26 atolls (a ring-shaped ribbon reef enclosing a lagoon). In other words, it is paradise for beach lovers and scuba divers — a dream destination for many! Perhaps, the most famous thing that Maldives is known for is the water villas at several private resorts. We were lucky enough to have a chance to stop by Maldives on the way back to the states from Thailand. As soon as we arrived in Male, the capital city, we hopped on a sea plane to W Retreat and Spa on Fesdu island. It is definitely our most memorable trip ever! Of course, we did not forget to take some photos! See below!
