Note about the RAW Footages (why the colors are dull)
In the context of video production and editing, a “flat profile” usually refers to a video recording mode or setting that captures a wider dynamic range and retains more detail in the shadows and highlights. This flat profile is often used to give editors more flexibility in color grading and post-processing the footage. The video files you are downloading are “flat profile” video footages.
A flat profile typically produces a desaturated and low-contrast image straight out of the camera, which may look somewhat dull or washed out compared to a standard or “baked-in” profile. The idea behind using a flat profile is to preserve more image data and provide greater latitude for adjusting colors, contrast, and exposure during the editing process without sacrificing image quality.
Notes about the video & audio files
Note that audio files are not sync with the video file since that’s the audio connected to the DJ’s board during the ceremony/reception. But all the video clips should have the audio although not as clear compared to the audio file. The audio files are recorded with microphones allowing clearer voices.
The clips had different durations. Short clips were mostly from the gimbal while the longer duration clips were from the tripod. If you are handling these videos, you will need good video editing software to organize these files.
Can you send GDrive Link or anything other than Dropbox?
We only have Dropbox professional with a lot of space there so we don’t have enough space on GDrive to accommodate this and you would need to have paid membership on your Gdrive to have more space than 15GB. (the plan for 2TB is $9.99/month). The size of these files are in hundreds of GB.
How do I download these large files?
You can try downloading using your web browser but you may encounter a situation that the download get interrupted due to internet connectivity. You will have to ensure that the computer keeps running for several hours/days and you will need to make sure that there is enough space to store these large files at the download location.
We recommend using A Download Manager (it’s a type of application) called JDownloader (other software may work to but we have tested JDownloader on our Mac and it works great for the Dropbox link containing multiple files) Here’s how you can do it:
Download Managers support resuming interrupted downloads, which is particularly useful for large files, and can accelerate the download process by using multiple connections.
By using downloader managers, you can manage large file downloads more efficiently and reduce the risk of interruptions or incomplete downloads.
