It was such an honor when Angela asked me to photograph her wedding right after she got engaged even before she booked the venue. I had the pleasure to know Angela and Andrew a while back as she was one of the bridesmaids at one of my brides’ wedding and Andrew was also at the wedding; we have been keeping in touch ever since and our paths have crossed more than a few times. In case you didn’t know, Angela is actually a very famous DC-based landscape photographer and chances are that you must have seen her photos before, you can see her work here.
We have been thinking about the location for the engagement session for a while and at first we were hesitant to pick the memorials as it has been done too many times — Angela and Andrew wanted something a bit more unique. On the other hand, I have always pictured Angela at the memorials as these are the places that she comes very very often to get those beautiful photos at sunrise that we all see everyday on the Facebook fan page. We really wanted this session to be unique and different than all the engagement photos you might have seen on any other photographers’ blogs that were taken at the memorials; we decided to do a twilight session at the memorials and we got some very magical moments there that night..
This is just the part one of Angela and Andrew ‘s engagement session. Stay tuned for some surprises on part two in a few weeks!
These photos look amazing! Taking the photos at twilight adds such a romantic feel.. I can’t wait to see the rest!
I love it!! Thanks so much Nat!! 🙂
