I have been planning for cherry blossom engagement sessions with a few of our clients but things seem to be falling apart because of the rain and fog we have been getting. Yesterday is the only day that would have sunny sky before all the rain will wash the blossoms away so I decided to wake up at 5:30 AM and headed to the tidal basin to meet up with Angela Pan from A B Pan Photography for a sunrise photo session (if you haven’t visited her site, you are seriously missing some of the most beautiful landscape photos!). Unfortunately, the parking was packed and I couldn’t find a parking close by and ended up having to park along the potomac a bit further. Well, better late than never, right? Sometimes, it’s actually better to be late! I couldn’t make it in time to the edge of the tidal basin to get the beautiful sunrise so I stopped and got this beautiful photo below. It has definitely became one of my favorite Jefferson Memorial photos and I like the subtlety of cherry trees in the fog in this photo.
Thank you Angela for inviting me along! It was fun shooting with you and the gang!
And now I officially welcome spring with this blog post!
